MONTHLY SINCE 1999
ISSUE # 212
This month we have a large number of important aspects. The most powerful one is Jupiter opposite Uranus, an ongoing transit that is around all year. We experienced this opposition on December 26th 2016, and it will return September 28th. Because of this opposition this month we will also see Mars and Mercury aspect Jupiter and Uranus in short order. DonÕt separate the quick moving aspects this month if they are related to Jupiter and Uranus. They will work in tandem over several days. We will see periods of potentially explosive energy that must be respected. Awareness is most important in life and the more cognizant and attentive we are to whatÕs around us the better prepared we are to handle any situation that arises.
Those Mars and Mercury aspects coming up are potentially violent transits that will push things to the limit with Jupiter-Uranus in the mixture. We can expect some deep reactions this month. Between the eclipses and these harsh transits nothing would surprise me. The political situation in our country is heading into high gear. The divide between this administration and the populous is expanding, and under the transits and the eclipses things will not go well for Trump. Unless things change radically and soon, this current situation will not continue unchanged.
On August 7th we will have a Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees Aquarius 25 minutes in TrumpÕs 6th house. On August 21st we will see a Solar Eclipse at 28 degrees Leo 52 minutes that falls very near TrumpÕs Mars and Ascendant. There is a good chance that these eclipses will have an effect on his health, and certainly on his public image. The Moon rules the public and our relationship to it. Saturn continues to conjunct his natal Moon and opposes his Sun-Uranus North Node conjunction. This is not going to be an easy year for him, and once Jupiter completes its conjunct to his natal Jupiter in early August right around the next eclipse period there will be a further decaying of his support.
Venus will retrograde this month, and with Jupiter already going backwards we can expect a slowdown in the economy. The recent bullish motion in the equities will not last. Also, we can expect some difficulty in beginning new projects, and the underlying contentiousness that we all are feeling will not easily be dissuaded. With both of the so-called benefic planets going backwards it will be harder to find both optimism and expansion for many ideas. There may very well be a correction in the stock markets, and I wouldnÕt be surprised by some news that upsets the status quo even more than we have seen of late. When Venus retrogrades, it affects our personal relationships and our finances. I have written more about this below Š please see March 4th.
I was pleased to be invited to lecture on financial astrology at the NCGR national conference in Baltimore in February. It was a great time in a lovely city that I hadnÕt visited in many years. It was great to be around so many talented astrologers and thinkers. I renewed some old friendships and made some new ones. All in all, it was a very enlightening and enjoyable time. My deepest thanks to Joyce Levine for running such a great show.
The New Moon falls on Sunday February 26th at 9:58 A.M. EDT at 8 degrees Pisces 12 minutes and itÕs an eclipse. Each New Moon offers us an opportunity to begin a new monthly cycle when we can redirect our energies into a different path. While Pisces is about completions, as this is the last sign of the zodiac, the New Moon in this sign does represent that sense of a new beginning. But itÕs more like we are starting the process of completing something thatÕs ongoing, not beginning a brand new concept. Focus on the projects and ideas that youÕve been working on for some time, take them to the next level and try to push them towards fruition. ItÕs a time to tie up loose ends and get ready for a new start in late March when the Sun enters Aries.
Pisces is deeply involved in spiritual issues and pushes us to try to reach the ethereal plane while still remaining in the material one. This is one reason why some people with a lot of Pisces energy can have a difficult time fitting into certain areas of life. There is a strong desire to transcend the physical world and concentrate on the spiritual. But we live in this world and as such unless you have chosen to remove yourself completely and live unattached in a monk-like circumstance, even the most religious or spiritual among us must interact on the material plane. Finding the balance between the two is one of the challenges being confronted now. ThatÕs what this New Moon implies.
In your personal life, it would be wise to take a wait-and-see attitude about many things. This is not a time to rush into action without first seeing where the pitfalls lie. Because this is the Pisces Solar Eclipse there is the sense of completions and ŅkarmaÓ that could force your hand and result in bad choices. While you canÕt avoid making decisions, itÕs something we do all day long, if thereÕs an issue that could have long term affects you may be better off delaying your choice at least until the Sun enters Aries on March 20th. You may even be better off waiting until the next New Moon on March 27th.
Eclipses block out the light, in this case the SunÕs illumination. Because this is an eclipse there will be an added layer of shadow making some things unclear and leaving a residue and influence that cannot be ignored. On February 10th we had a Full Moon lunar eclipse at 22 degrees Leo. That set the pace for this current cycle and brought a lot of information out into the open. There were a number of upsetting secrets revealed that put things into motion both personally and for the collective. On August 21st we will have a New Moon Eclipse at 28 degrees Leo (right on TrumpÕs Mars-Ascendant) and some things that are being revealed now will come to completion in August. Now on this New Moon we are entering a new lunar cycle that will move things along that path, and will have profound results this summer. Our world is in a very precarious place as we see more and more the direction things are heading. We are dealing with contentious issues including what a free press means, connections to foreign governments and an underlying discontent that seems to be growing every week. Eclipses often upset the applecart, as they say. And I think these eclipses will put some concepts into play that are difficult to imagine at the moment. But as they unfold, it will become clear that there is no turning back from the confrontations that are about to take place.
MARS CONJUNCTS URANUS:
Also on Sunday February 26th at 7:17 P.M. EST this potentially explosive transit completes. I have found that when there is an aspect closely following the New Moon it seems to set the stage for that lunar cycle. This conjunct is one of the most energetic and erratic. It requires close attention and a certain amount of caution. It may pass without incident for most of us, but there is this electricity in the air, and some people will respond to it. If this sets off your chart, you may be more susceptible to its influence. Certainly, you should be careful when dealing with others. You may be in a fine mood, but the other person may be feeling this intensity and respond accordingly. Be careful while traveling or handling any sharp objects. But with a little care you should be able to avoid any serious mishaps. Because this is such a high-energy day, if you can focus this force into useful projects it can be quite productive. Whenever this combination of planets occurs in a conjunct, opposition or square there is the possibility of a world event. I wouldnÕt be surprised by some violent activity or some news that upsets the financial markets. Because of the Jupiter-Uranus opposition that is completing for the second pass on Thursday March 2nd this may be more amplified than usual and something could easily be blown out of proportion. Mars will oppose Jupiter tomorrow, followed by that Jupiter-Uranus opposition. The Sun will conjunct Neptune on Wednesday, which may add a layer of confusion to the mixture, so extra attention is called for all week. The financial markets may be very unpredictable and unstable. I wouldnÕt be surprised by some unexpected news that affects the equities. I am expecting a reversal in the markets soon and wouldnÕt be surprised by a big dip as a correction comes on.
MARS OPPOSITE JUPITER:
On Monday February 27th at 9:24 A.M. EST this powerful opposition will complete. Mars rules the ego, and Jupiter tends to expand whatever it comes in contact with. Therefore, itÕs obvious that we all must try to keep our individuality and self-image in control. Under normal circumstances this would be a few days when we could expect unbridled energy and optimism. But with the added energy of Uranus I would suggest that you pay attention to how you are presenting yourself and to try and avoid unnecessary conflicts or power struggles. Others may respond in unexpected ways and you may push someone away with an over-active ego. As I said above, this is a week when caution is called for. You must respect the transits that are being presented and try to use them to your advantage. This is a very powerful and high-energy few days, and as I said, erratic or explosive forces may be at work. But as with all transits, if you can find proper ways to direct this excessive energy it can be a very productive time. Because egos will be blown out of proportion donÕt take everything that is said too much to heart. A lot of bluster and hot air will be blowing around. If something is worth fighting for, then by all means face it directly and confront the situation. But if you feel that something isnÕt worth your attention and you can side-step it, do so. You can revisit the situation later if it turns out to be important. But under this influence it will be easy to have something seem more vital than it is. Once again a certainly amount of caution is called for, especially while traveling. Be careful will all sharp objects. Mars rules the knife and cutting. Jupiter has little regard for boundaries and rules, so we must make our own and stick to them.
THE SUN CONJUNCTS NEPTUNE:
On Wednesday March 1st 9:45 P.M. EST this low energy aspect may take a little oomph out of the ongoing Mars-Jupiter-Uranus influence that is presently ongoing. But this may also just act as a distraction or confusing input. Nothing is as it seems today. Many people will be misdirected, and you could get caught up in their issues. This may be a very erratic and confusing week for the financial markets, as I said above. This conjunct often results in a down-turn in the stocks, and with so much energy being transmitted they may move rather intensely in either direction. Though IÕm inclined to think it will be to the down side. Be careful how you talk to others. Misunderstandings are common, and because there is this underlying explosive ego-oriented force being emitted it may be easy to get caught up in some personal encounter that you hadnÕt expected.
JUPITER OPPOSES URANUS:
On Thursday March 2nd at 4:19 P.M. EST this aspect completes for the 2nd time. We experienced this opposition on December 26th 2016, and it will return September 28th. This has been one of the underlying forces that have influenced our society this past year. These are the two most independent and freedom loving planets. They have little regard for boundaries or constraints, and both signs they rule, Sagittarius and Aquarius, need a lot of space. Neither cares much for restrictive regulations, and when they are in aspect to each other we often go through a period of radical change and upsetting events. Certainly our political situation in America and throughout the world has been changing in unexpected ways, and not without the struggle these planets represent. We will continue to see this ongoing battle for some time. DonÕt expect things to settle down any time soon. The unpredictable and rebellious nature of Uranus coupled with JupiterÕs hatred for limitations of all sorts has created an atmosphere of upheaval and revolution that will become much more pronounced as the months pass.
This can also be a very exciting and energetic transit, but it must be controlled. It represents a lot of unbridled force and can often lead to unexpected opportunities for the individual. If this sets off your chart in a positive way, this may be a year when you are given new chances to make your mark in the world. This can represent ŅluckÓ, which is usually just good timing. If you can use this opposition to your advantage it can be a time when the usual barriers and limitations are stripped away giving you a chance to expand your concepts, plans and projects in exciting and new ways. While this is in orb it would be wise to use caution, especially while traveling, but also in your interactions with others. This may be a few days of explosive events, accidents, or even terrorism. It may be an exceptional day for the stock markets, with the equities moving sharply in either direction. With Uranus itÕs difficult to predict exactly what to expect. So keep your eyes open and be careful.
On Saturday March 4th at 4:08 A.M. EST until April 15th at 6:17 A.M. EDT Venus begins its backward trek. Much is written about this aspect. It influences both our relationships and our financial issues. Personal relationships are often difficult while Venus is going backwards. ItÕs hard to express your feelings, and there are many misunderstandings that can result in a sense of alienation. Try to be forthright with your emotional issues. If you canÕt say whatÕs on your mind, at least let the other person know youÕre having trouble communicating and that you will broach the subject again when you feel more in touch with your feelings. That way he or she can respond in a knowledgeable way.
Coming on the heels of the Jupiter-Uranus opposition mentioned above, this may represent the top of this bullish market in the stocks. As I said earlier in this newsletter I wouldnÕt be surprised by a reversal and a sharp correction in the equities. With Jupiter already in retrograde, we will now have the two benefic planets running in reverse. This is usually bearish for the markets. Because America has a Venus-Jupiter conjunct in its natal chart, this may be the beginning of a more pronounced and very difficult period of unrest.
MERCURY CONJUNCTS NEPTUNE:
Also on Saturday March 4th at 6:10 A.M. EST this confusing aspect comes along. This can be a day of misdirection and errors. There can be many misunderstandings, and itÕs important that you spend the extra time explaining what you mean to avoid any mishaps. Caution is called for, especially while traveling. Because of the ease with which we can be distracted these days, accidents are common. So please pay attention to what youÕre doing. While this combination may be quite spiritual and enlightening, it isnÕt the best energy under which to address issues of form and structure.
This can be a very positive aspect for artists, astrologers and others who work more through the ethereal plane. Creative ventures may reach a new height, and musicians, poets, writers and actors could tap into the collective and discover a new way of expressing themselves. Spiritual matters will work out well, but often at the cost of what we call common sense. Any paperwork should be reviewed carefully once this passes to avoid mistakes. This is not a good day to sign an important document or make a final decision. Wait a day or so and then look things over once more. You may still come to the same conclusion, but you will be better able to comprehend the issue.
MARS TRINES SATURN:
On Sunday March 5th at 3:45 P.M. EST this productive and focused aspect will give us a few days of hard work and structure. Mars is energy, often uncontrolled or intemperate. Saturn puts organization around anything it encounters. So this combination will allow you to focus your energy succinctly and to make use of it in controlled and logical ways. This isnÕt usually a very flamboyant time, and it may be best used by working hard and making the most of its structural power. There is a strong desire to accomplish much, and you can do so if you arenÕt distracted. This is not a good time for a party, first date or other intimate encounter unless there is an ongoing relationship that has set down a strong foundation. This is a positive aspect, and should be used to your best advantage. But itÕs neither light-hearted nor particularly fun. But it is a good time to clear your desk and get your work in order.
THE SUN CONJUNCTS MERCURY:
On Monday March 6th at 7:29 P.M. EST this combination will give many of us a more willful attitude. There is a desire to communicate and make plans. ThatÕs a very positive way of using this aspect. Because it comes on the heels of Mars trine Saturn we had yesterday, this is a few days of purpose and attention to matters of importance. Today conversations will be clear and direct, and you will be able to get your point across. But remember that you could be more determined and forceful in your opinions, so pay attention to how you are saying things. People born with this conjunction tend to be rather deliberate and determined in their approach to things. They can be stubborn and unbending if not in touch with their inner voice. But those who have studied various disciplines, such as mediation or some form of therapy are better able to handle the power this conjunct brings. Because of this conjunction both Mercury and the Sun will aspect other planets in close order. Expect a sort of one-two punch as they each make connections to Pluto, Saturn and Venus in the coming days.
MERCURY SEXTILES PLUTO:
On Wednesday March 8th at 12:23 A.M. EST this positive sextile will allow us all to delve more deeply into any issue or conversation that arises. This is a good day to have that talk youÕve been avoiding. You can get to the heart of the matter without upsetting anyone. But recognize that neither of you will be satisfied with superficial answers, so be prepared to take things to the end. There is a compulsive nature to any Pluto aspect, so if you arenÕt willing to face the ultimate truths that will be exposed today, I would suggest avoiding sensitive topics and waiting a few days before discussing them. This is a good aspect for any editing or rewriting. The mindÕs eye will be succinct and will not be easily distracted.
THE SUN SEXTILES PLUTO:
On Thursday March 9th at 3:29 A.M. EST this positive aspect follows Mercury and also sextiles Pluto. Because of the recent Sun-Mercury conjunct these two luminaries will aspect the other planets in rapid succession. This is another day of deep thought and a strong desire to get to the bottom of issues. The Sun represents the willpower in us all, and in the collective. You can expect people to be direct and forceful today, but without the usual struggles that accompany such energy. They will be opinionated and with Pluto thereÕs often little desire to find compromise, even in positive aspect, but the sextiles and trines do allow us to use the energy of the combined planets proactively. Stand up for your interests today and make it clear to others that you have an agenda and plan on following it. But try not to become obsessive or allow any compulsiveness to interfere with your goals. ItÕs one thing to be right. ItÕs sometimes quite another to achieve what you wish from a situation. Be clear about what you need and focused in your aim to achieve it.
MARS ENTERS TAURUS:
Also on Thursday March 9th at 7:34 P.M. EST Mars will enter the fixed earth sign. In a natal chart this is a very strong placement that will allow the individual to push forward and not be easily distracted. This is perhaps the most stubborn of the signs, and it can be unyielding and powerful. The great boxer, Joe Louis was born under this sign. And his style of fighting shows the basic nature of Taurus. Joe would stand there and take whatever his opponents could dish out, and then he would unleash a barrage of punches often knocking out his competition. He successfully defended his title 25 times in 12 years.
With Mars in this sign the world will take on some of that unbending attitude. People will dig in for the long haul, and I suspect that there will be a lot of contentious disagreements and more demonstrations. Compromise will be hard to come to, and the two sides of the political spectrum will become even more entrenched in their own perspective.
We will now have what is called a Ņmutual receptivityÓ with Venus and Mars each in the sign ruled by the other. When there is balance between the two, it will allow for a deep understanding between the sexes as each planet must adjust to the energy of the other. This can actually be a very positive and productive period when men and women gain a better understanding of each other. Interaction between the male and female sides of life has always been one of the most difficult dilemmas in human history, so I donÕt expect miracles. But perhaps there will be some empathy and a better conversation. One can only hope.
MERCURY SQUARES SATURN:
On Sunday March 12th at 8:10 A.M. EDT this difficult aspect will put us all on edge for a short while. ItÕs very hard to express yourself when Saturn is activated, and because Mercury rules thoughts and communications many may feel reticent and unable to clearly state their needs and desires. This is a good aspect for taking care of business. ItÕs a no-nonsense transit that will focus on obligations and responsibilities. This is a good time to complete unfinished work. There is little desire for any frivolous ideas or actions. But because of the restrictive nature of Saturn it isnÕt all that great for creative or innovative thoughts. Get your work done and clean up your desk. Because this coincides with the Virgo Full Moon we can expect a critical and unromantic approach to issues. Watch the stock markets, which are mostly motivated by psychology rather than fundamentals. If there is a correction coming it will be obvious over the next few days. A sudden drop in the equities could show that the recent rise in stock prices has played out. If there is an unstable jolt to the upside that falters it may represent a last-gasp before the downturn. I expect that the retrograde Venus and Jupiter we are experiencing will result in that correction. But if there is going to be another leg to this upswing in stocks it will also be shown now through extremely positive earnings reports and manufacturing numbers. But with the Feds about to raise interest rates inflation is on its way. And with it will come a difficult period for investors.
This monthÕs lunar peak occurs on Sunday March 12th at 10:54 A.M. EDT at 22 degree Virgo 13 minutes. Whenever there is a New Moon Solar Eclipse the following Full Moon has more power and effectiveness, even if it isnÕt also an eclipse. For those of us who are directly aspected by this placement certain issues will be more prominent. Being in Virgo it implies that anything that has to do with details or missing an important point will be highlighted. Double check all paperwork and study the minutiae to avoid mistakes. Also health matters are certainly possible and I suggest some caution with diet and any ongoing physical problems. They may flair up at this juncture. This is a time of critical decisions that will be made in our personal lives, as well as for the collective. What is decided now will have long-term effects and could result in an explosive situation on the next eclipses August 7th and August 21st. The New Moon eclipse on the 21st of August falls almost exactly on TrumpÕs Mars Ascendant conjunction, based on the 1:54 AM birth time that most astrologers use.
Caution is called for on any Full Moon, but considering the social and political environment we are living through at the moment it is more vital than usual that you be careful in your daily actions. The long-term effects of the current aspects, including Jupiter opposite Uranus, and the two recent eclipses, will have affects for a long time to come. We will not see the results of some until August.
MERCURY ENTERS ARIES:
On Monday March 13th at 5:08 P.M. EDT Mercury will enter this Mars-ruled sign. It will leave Aries and enter Taurus on March 31st and because it is about to retrograde on April 9th it will then reverse direction and return to Aries on April 20th until May 16th. While Mercury is in Aries many people will be speaking with a harsher and more determined voice. There is a tendency to speak without first thinking things through. Try to slow your mind down enough to double check your facts and make your presentation with less aggression. You may not realize that you are speaking harshly, so tone it down a bit. This is a good placement for getting things started, but not always for completions. Try to make a plan for any ongoing venture you are beginning. Aries is terrific at moving things forward, but often doesnÕt think them through.
THE SUN SQUARES SATURN:
On Friday March 17th at 5:47 P.M. EDT this limiting and somewhat dour aspect comes along. This is a low energy day of restrictions when you must focus on the most important issues and make sure you can accomplish what needs to be dealt with. ItÕs easy to run out of fuel. DonÕt allow yourself to be distracted by frivolity. This isnÕt a day for play, but rather a time of work and concentration. If you deal with Saturn in a direct and mature manner it can be your best friend. Granted it isnÕt a day for partying or really for a first date. But important conversations and any ongoing relationship or business venture can be quite successful and move on to the next level. Pay attention to your obligations and responsibilities and you will use this aspect to your advantage.
MERCURY CONJUNCTS VENUS:
On Saturday March 18th at 8:26 P.M. EDT this easy-going and pleasant aspect will give us a day when we will all enjoy our communications. This can be a very sociable and enjoyable day, and itÕs a much better time to plan a party than yesterdayÕs Sun-Saturn square. Any get together will be pleasant, especially if it involves entertainment or the arts. Short journeys will also be invigorating, so plan a drive in the country or even a long walk. It will clear the mind and open your consciousness.
THE SUN ENTERS ARIES:
On Monday March 20th at 6:29 A.M. EDT the Sun crosses the Aries Point. Happy New Year! This is the day I always celebrate as the beginning of the yearly cycle. ItÕs the start of the zodiac as well as the beginning of spring. As my readers know, each of the 4 cardinal signs begins each of the seasons. And here we have the chance to rejuvenate our ideas and projects and to make a new start. Any issues that seem to be stagnant or unfulfilling may be set aside as you seek out new ways of expressing yourself. This is a time to let some things go and weed out your garden so there can be new growth.
As we enter Aries there will be a strong desire to initiate projects and to push the boundaries as far as we can. This sign has a tendency to start things, but a reluctance to follow through with some of them. Make an effort to put your energies into those plans and projects that you truly believe in. Try to find the consistency to complete those that you begin. Some of your efforts may not come to fruition and a few will dissipate as the weeks go by. But those that offer you a new or expansive opportunity should have enough depth to continue.
MERCURY SQUARES PLUTO:
On Thursday March 23rd at 8:42 P.M. EDT we will all become more obsessive about our attitudes and ideals. This is a harsh aspect, and there will be power struggles and disagreements. Be careful how you talk to others. People will not be apt to seek compromises, but will be more likely to dig their heels in and put up walls. The desire to reach a deeper understanding is strong, and some issues will become difficult to work through. Squares are not that malleable and can create rigidity. Try not to let that attitude become pervasive. There may be ways to approach others where compromise is possible. If something seems too combative or a power struggle doesnÕt seem worth the effort, just let it go. If it has validity it can be revisited at a later date. If not, this square will point out its limitations. Travel may be difficult, and if you are on the road please act in a defensive manner. This square can manifest as hidden anger or frustration, and it may be the guy in the other car who is feeling that way. The best way to handle astrology is to recognize and respect the aspects that are in front of you.
Because of the ongoing proximity in degrees of Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus each will be aspected by Mercury and the other quick moving luminaries in close order. This will be a week of intense Mercurial energy, so try to keep up.
MERCURY OPPOSITE JUPITER:
On Friday March 24th at 8:46 A.M. EDT this positive opposition will change the attitude many of us felt yesterday with the Mercury square Pluto. This is a more sociable and outgoing aspect that will make many people quite chatty and easy-going. Ideas will come at a fast pace, and so will your words. Be aware of what youÕre saying. Things may fly off your tongue without your usual filters and you could easily overstate something or speak without your facts in place. This is usually a good aspect for travel. ThereÕs a strong desire to enlarge your perspective, and getting on the road can help. Even a long walk will be productive.
Today your thoughts will come quickly. But not as fast as they will on Sunday when Mercury conjuncts Uranus. As I said above, this is a week of seriously fast mental energy and it will demand some control and focus. Patience will be in short order, and many people will not have the ability to keep things in perspective. If you are aware of how fast your mind is moving you will be able to avoid most difficulties and can use these aspects to help you get things done.
THE SUN CONJUNCT VENUS:
On Saturday March 25th at 6:16 A.M. EDT this very nice aspect will set the mood for the day. This is a pleasant, although low energy transit. You may not feel like doing much, and I wouldnÕt plan too strenuous a schedule. ItÕs a good day to lounge around and indulge in lifeÕs pleasures. Anything creative or artistic will be satisfying. A get together with close people will also bring much joy.
MERCURY CONJUNCTS URANUS:
On Sunday March 26th at 11:05 A.M. EDT words and ideas will move at a seriously fast pace. This can be a wonderfully energetic aspect, but it can create problems and it may be difficult to keep up with the flow of thoughts and communications. If you can slow things down enough to stabilize them and keep on top of it, this will be a very creative and exciting day. Many of us will be inspired and may come up with some unique and brilliant ideas. But without discipline it may just be a day of erratic and uncontrolled input. Be careful how you speak to others. The usual filter that we all have between the brain and the tongue isnÕt working all that well. Little verbal gems may drop without forethought and you may regret some of what you say. Arguments are certainly possible and a misspoken word can lead to an explosive reaction. If you have an active Mercury in your natal chart you will do better with the speed of this transit. Caution is called for while traveling. Sudden distractions are common so pay close attention to what youÕre doing. Drive defensively and try to let your aggression out in a controlled and focused way. Exercise will help release any pent up tension. Stay busy and put your efforts into projects that will defuse this powerful aspect.
MARS SEXTILES NEPTUNE:
On Monday March 27th at 12:46 P.M. EDT this sextile will complete as the Moon wanes at the end of the cycle. This isnÕt a very powerful transit, and it may pass without much notice. But it is a good energy for creative work, and you can push a lot of energy into any artistic venture or anything dealing with helping others. Charity work, healing or therapy of any sort will respond well. Astrology readings may be particularly insightful. This is a low energy transit, and coming so near the Dark of the Moon I wouldnÕt expect that there will be a lot of extra oomph. Focus on the most important issues and get them done.
DARK OF THE MOON:
The next New Moon falls on Monday March 27th at 10:57 P.M. EDT at 7 degrees Aries 37 minutes. The day or two leading up to it will be a particularly low energy period. If you tend to be emotional this may be a very trying time each month. I have found that people with prominent moons or a Cancer Sun, Moon or ascendant respond to the lunar cycles more intensely than others. Spend this time finishing up anything that is incomplete, donÕt try to initiate new projects on a waning moon, it just wonÕt work out. Once the New Moon hits you begin new projects o
r attempt a new approach to an existing problem. If you have been living in a situation or involved in a relationship that is intolerable or has outlived its usefulness this would be the proper time to move on with your life. If you have been working on a project that is almost complete but you seem to lack the energy for the finality, you must push during these low energy days to end the matter once and for all. If you donÕt, when the New Moon arrives it will bring this ŅdeadÓ energy along with it and conflict with the newer force being presented. Each month we are offered a chance to clean house, so to speak.
Note: All aspects are most powerful and effective as they apply. Once the transit has completed, its force is lessened. The further it separates the weaker it becomes.
Below is a list of times this month when the Moon is Void of Course and neither important decisions nor purchases should be made during these periods. The Void of Course Moon is a time when we should try to center ourselves and deal with spiritual matters not materialistic ones. Any decisions made on the VC Moon will not turn out the way we had expected.
The Moon is Void of Course from the time it makes its last major aspect in a sign until it enters the next sign. For example, if the Moon squares Mars at 27 degrees Aries and then has no more aspects until it enters Taurus it will be Void of Course for three degrees or about 6 hours. The aspects used are the conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition. All times are Eastern Daylight Time:
Please note: In response to requests from readers I have added a few VOC Moons into the next lunar cycle for those who need to make plans before my next newsletter is released.
